The Temple of Poseidon is a temple dedicated to the Greek god of the sea, built on top of a towering sea cliff in Cape Sounion. It was once one of the largest temples in Ancient Greece, and it is considered one of the best preserved examples from antiquity.
The ruins are still visible today from all over Attica, and they have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a crucial part of the historical site and it still offers visitors a taste of what Ancient Greece was like.
